Russia Brands Yale University as “Undesirable Organization”

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office officially branded Yale University as an “undesirable organization” within the country. The announcement declared that the activities conducted by the U.S.-based institution are now prohibited on Russian soil.

The Prosecutor General’s statement accused Yale of actions intended to threaten Russia’s territorial integrity, enforce an international blockade, weaken the nation’s economic stability, and destabilize its social and political environment.

“The university is working to provide legal justification for seizing Russian assets illegally held by Western countries, with the subsequent aim of using these assets to fund the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the office added.

Yale University, a prestigious Ivy League institution and one of the world’s top-ranked universities, now faces a significant diplomatic rebuke from Moscow.
