Trump Pressures Zelenskyy on Russia Peace Deal
"Russia wants to make a deal, and Zelenskyy's gonna have to get moving — otherwise he's going to miss a great opportunity. He has to move," Trump told reporters.
Russia and Ukraine completed two rounds of US-brokered peace negotiations in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates capital, during January and early February. The discussions yielded the first prisoner swap in five months between the warring nations.
The Kremlin announced Friday that subsequent peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are scheduled for Feb. 17-18 in Geneva, Switzerland.
